Cookies

We use no cookies and no analytics, advertising or tracking.

What we store in your browser

We store one small item in your own browser, using localStorage, a technology similar to cookies. It is saved only if you choose it.

• Your journal (localStorage key ‘beforei-journal’). If you use the journal and press Save entry, the text you write is saved so you can see it again on this device.

It stays only in this browser, on this device, and is never sent to us or anyone else. It doesn’t move to another device. It is kept until you delete it, which you can do at any time with the Delete my journal button on the journal page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Why we don’t ask for consent

You asked for it, and the site needs it to do what you asked. We consider this storage strictly necessary for the journal you chose to use, so we don’t ask for separate consent.
